Charles Guillemet

Partner, Local Globe

Charles was previously at Meta, first as Leadership Recruiting Manager for Data Engineering in North America and later supporting the entire Leadership Analytics function in EMEA. Before that he was Head of Recruiting at brain-computer interface company Neuralink. He credits that role with testing two specific skills. The company began in stealth mode, so the focus was on finding and approaching highly specialized members of technical staff, who are among the world’s top one percent in their field. Later, with the company operating publicly, the role shifted to employer branding and scaling teams.

Remus Brett

Partner, Local Globe

He has invested extensively across fintech, from core infrastructure to consumer apps. Alongside fintech, he’s also interested in climate and its intersection with finance. His investments include: Yapily, Copper, Sylvera, Raisin, Yonder, Translucent, Canopy Connect, 8fig, Supercritical, Weav (acq. by Brex), and Otta (acq. by Welcome to the Jungle). Remus’s career began in tech consulting, research and data analytics including at Datamonitor and then Forrester Research, where he led its European financial services team. After co-founding and scaling Finalta as CEO – and overseeing its sale to McKinsey and subsequent integration – he went on to lead the company’s international expansion from Europe to North and South America, and Asia.
